Cheruthazham Black Pepper Producer Company LTD was set up to do beneficial business for the farmers in Kannur district with the help of Panniyoor Agriculture Research Center & NABARD. The company is built by the shares of farmers in order to make the district in first position, which is in fourth currently, in the production of black pepper among Kerala. With the financial support of national horticulture mission, Kannur agriculture research center has done many activities in Cheruthazham Panchayat for the research and development of black pepper. As a result of this active participation of farmers the pepper protection committee was organized. Kerala Agriculture University, Bharatiyakarshikagaveshana council, Karshikavikasana Karshakakshemavakup, State Horticulture Mission, All India Spices Export forum etc. has appreciated the company for its activities to promote black pepper production.

Our Vision

The after effects of the flood was huge and drastic. It has badly affected the pepper farmers. All the root crops are destroyed in the flood, and we could see a large demand for new pepper plants for cultivation in the coming years.

Therefore our aim is to meet the demands of pepper farmers by providing them a good quality of plants. Standard operating protocol specific measures are aimed at obtaining specific crop maintenance pools developed with scientific base suitable for different agro- climatic zones to produce black pepper from 2kg per peak.

The company aims to provide pepper technicians with the help of youngsters who participated in the 30 day skill training program from the krishivigyan Kendra in order to ensure proper crop management in the field of pepper technique famine.

The company with 10 members committee is working to get fair price for farmers by promoting poison less black pepper harvesting and selling including exporting.

In addition, production of all kinds of value added products and distribution of all kind of products to the farmers will be implemented with the help of required business plans of krishivigyan Kendra and NABARD, to enable the farmers to get them on right time. The company aims to do business for the farmers in the state.
